For Better or For Worse

Recently, I got confused about my age. I had my birthday in the fall and thought I had turned twenty-nine, but it turns out that yesterday was my twenty-ninth wedding anniversary!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Nostalgic

The Weekly Photo Challenge called my name again. Since I don’t blog every day, and I already had blogs scheduled, I’m posting it two days before the next challenge.

I have three photos hanging over my fireplace mantel. When I first put them there, I loved the contrast between the two old photos and the new photo. I loved that you could see the difference in generations, in eras, and yet still see the similarity.

The Prince

Last year at this time, I blogged about a young prince and a maiden who met, fell in love and got married twenty-seven years ago.

On June 1st they are married for twenty-eight years.

This young prince isn’t much of a romantic, but he sure is a fix-it guy. He especially loves cars. Here is the fix-it project he’s working on now.

Twenty-seven years ago today …

… when men and women wore their hair long and high, fashionable women wore hats and ankle warmers, a Little twelve-year-old Maiden married a Young Prince (okay, maybe she was a few years older than twelve).
