The Best of Everything

With all that’s going on in the world, my husband and I like to escape to a different era by watching Turner Classic Movies. We recently enjoyed a classic that we learned was the basis of a television series which aired in 2007-2015. This got me to comparing the two, and how they portrayed their characters.

My Celebrity Family

witsendI’d love to say that I come from a perfect family, but I’m a realist. I know my family can be dysfunctional. This is not to say that I don’t love my family, or that we didn’t have some wonderful “Leave it to Beaver” times, because we had some of those moments, too. Made of Marshmallows

For my quote of the week (End of Week Wisdom installment), I didn’t feel like posting a profound quote this time. I wanted something funny. So, I’m resorting to a sitcom. However, this silly little sitcom scene actually has a deeper meaning.

TV with a Heart

I kept myself out of the show because I loved it and didn’t want to ruin it. ~ Phil Rosenthal

Have you heard of, or seen, the show Everybody Loves Raymond? The television series is no longer running new episodes (since 2005), but the reruns are shown in syndication. Yes, I know that not everybody loves Raymond, but I do. It now equals my other longtime number one favorite, The Dick Van Dyke Show. Continue reading “TV with a Heart”
