Does Originality Exist?

When I went to the doctor last week for a routine checkup, I told her about my recently published book, Through His Disciples’ Eyes.

After I described the book’s plot, she proceeded to tell me that it sounded like the Joshua Book Series and asked me if I’ve ever read it.

The “Joshua” what? Huh? No, I have not heard of it.

I Am . . .

I wasn’t going to publish a post this week, but reading others’ blogs sparked some thoughts. I’ve expressed similar philosophy that I read in those posts many times. I even wrote it into my latest novel, yet I haven’t been taking my own advice. Is it true that we teach what we need to learn?

The Near Future

With society polarized, inflation skyrocketing, war, and nefarious occurrences across the globe, what does the future look like? If things continue to get worse, might humanity be seeking hope?

As for me, I’ve been seeking hope for humanity for over a decade now. This is why I wrote Through His Disciples’ Eyes. What might the near future look like if things don’t change soon? Continue reading “The Near Future”

Character

My favorite books when I was a kid and into adulthood have always been fictional characters who stick in my mind long after I finished reading. I hope readers get so familiar with the people they are reading about that they feel as if they are friends—feel for them when they screw up and wish they could give them advice. It’s almost ready. If all goes smoothly, my novel will be published this month of November (2022). I’m not good at selling my work, but I am especially proud of this book. It’s a very unusual plot.

Profoundly Poetic

Courtesy of Wiki Commons

Over the past several months, I’ve been posting quotes from the author Paul Ferrini. There are poetic lines in his writing that move me deeply, as if they embrace my very soul. The first one that really touched me I posted back in 2018. His words have made an impact on my life, and I hoped they might help console other souls who come across my blog.
