Blogging is so much better than facebook and twitter, at least for me. I’m not a fan of expressing myself in 140 characters, nor do I care for tons of propaganda on a wall. I like to interact both in person and through some internet venues like this one. I enjoy having people comment and making friends. I especially like having this safe place where we can go without feeling torn apart, but can find things to relate to one another. Continue reading “Making Friends”

Odd-One-Out
You may have noticed the re-blogs I’ve posted lately. You see, it all started when I entered Kindle Scout.
Publishing Plight
I haven’t done any substantial writing in <gasp> about 20 months, other than some poems, blogging, and editing my work. In May 2015 we moved across country and rented a townhouse until we could find a home to buy. So, we never really got settled.
Kindle Scout Saga Continues
After I published the post about my Kindle Scout experience, I received more clicks and the most feedback I’ve had on my blog since I posted about the loss of my father-in-law.
Because of the Scout post, many people contacted me through different venues, including my email. I had many discussions that were quite interesting and eye opening. I came to a new understanding about Kindle Scout, which I have written below.
But, before you go further, here is the link to my now published novel.
My Kindle Scout Experience
I might as well get right to it. Most of you already know that my novel was not selected for Kindle Press.
But, before you read further, the novel has been published now, HERE IS THE LINK.
Will She Cheat?
Last time I shared an excerpt from the character, Ava. This time I’m going to share one from Meg (below).
My Birthday Wish
I usually like to keep this day a secret, but I have a reason to bring it up this year. I have a special birthday wish that those who read this can help to make come true.
She Met Him Online
I’d love for you to read this excerpt, let me know what you think and share it with others. Then you can find the novel here.
To set up the clip, Ava and Alex’s marriage is hanging by a thread. While things keep getting worse between them, she meets an intriguing man online. They’ve been corresponding for some time when she decides . . . well, read it for yourself.
The Feet Chronicles
There is a curse upon our feet!
You’d think the stories I told about injured feet before were enough, but no, fate has brought me more.
The Author’s Network
I’m blessed to have been divinely led to the authors in my network, many of whom I’ve never met in person, others from being involved with the FWA.
Unreasonable
There comes a point in my novel, when the character, Ava Whitaker is at her Whit’s End. She struggles to get her husband’s family to understand her, including her husband. Ava thinks she is being pretty reasonable, and that they are the ones being unreasonable. But, if they all think it’s her, than maybe it is?
Fantasy and Real Life
Marsha A. Moore has featured my Kindle Scout campaign on her page today.
UPDATE: This campaign has ended. Thank you to everyone who helped me out. My Novel, Whit’s End, has now been published. You can find it, HERE.
You wouldn’t think that an author who writes contemporary fiction and one who writes fantasy would make good critique partners.
My Campaign
Don’t worry, I’m not a politician running for any office, but I need your votes, so please read this post.
