Tricky Picture

Let Freedom ring.

On the 4th of July 2021, I decided I was going to try a tricky shot with my camera.

As soon as I opened the front door to step outside, I noticed about a half dozen amber twinkling lights floating in formation out in the distance. They weren’t fireworks. They were moving away from my neighborhood. I tried zooming in, but by that time they were really far away, I only caught three of them.

Drones? And originally six of them flying in formation? Hmm. 🤔

Well, onto the original reason I went outside in the dark.

After those lights drifted away, it was time to try and capture the photo I imagined in my mind.

Neighborhoods are usually booming with fireworks on the wonderful anniversary of America’s independence from a monarch tyranny.

I stood in our driveway and held my camera’s lens to the sky. I set the right side of the frame on the beautiful American flag and waited.

And waited.

And waited.

I feel like the waiting was worth it. Check out a couple of the photos below.

Even though our Republic has been decimated by the Elitists, Oligarchs, and corrupt Politicians, America’s freedom and liberty lives on in the hearts of true Americans who honor its founding ideals.

“And the rockets’ red glare. The bombs bursting in air. Gave proof through the night, that our flag was still there.”

  1. It is so lovely to hear from you again, Lori. Those amber lights do seem mysterious. I also think those may be drones, or maybe perhaps small flares flying away. Your patience paid off and those are lovely shots of the fireworks. Hope you are doing well and you enjoy the rest of your summer 🙂

    1. Hi Mabel. Thank you for your nice comment on my photos for the 4th of July. Sorry for not seeing your comment sooner. I haven’t signed into WordPress very often lately. I hope you are staying well and enjoying your summer – or is it winter there? I know you’re on the other side of the world from me. Isn’t it fascinating that we can be in touch from so far away?
      Stay well. 💗

      1. That’s god you are staying well and enjoying summer over there. It’s great you are spending time offline enjoying yourself, and blogging can always wait. It’s winter in Australia at the moment, soon to be spring in a few weeks. Yes, so amazing we can connect though we are so far away, and never met in real life. You stay well too, Lori 💕
