Zeus and the Moon

An inspiring yet eerie sight
To see this full moon on Wednesday night
I find myself in awe
a tiny blip in the Universal Law

The next morning my visitor showed up
I find it heartwarming since I lost my pup
It seems like this guy is my friend
As he serenades me like I’m a girlfriend

I’d like to give him a name
His orange reminds of someone in fame
But for the controversy I’d be to blame
from those whose anger sets them aflame

My new friend’s color and song of cheer
warms my heart from the drear
So what should this guy be named
as he sings to me proudly and untamed

For his color I thought of juice
And I don’t like the name Bruce
he’s certainly no goose
I think I’ll call him Zeus
