Like a River

Life is always moving, like a river, twisting and turning through the landscape. It begins as a mountain stream, rushing downward, impetuous and intent to reach its goal. Then it levels out and moves for what seems like an eternity through fields and plains, separating into different streams, joining with other bodies of water. By the time it reaches the ocean,…it has a confidence born of experience…it no longer sees itself as anything other than ocean. It rests completely in itself, without beginning or end. ~ Paul Ferrini, The Silence of the Heart
