We must remember the past, to learn what didn’t work so we don’t make the same mistakes. But, dwelling on the past or picking at scarred wounds will only recreate the very same scenarios that we were supposed to learn from in the first place. If we learn, grow and change, old scars can turn into a thing of present beauty.
This is a fitting quote for the characters in my novel, Whit’s End. There are lots of mistakes, resentments and wounds, but do they dwell or learn, grow and change? I have an announcement about that novel coming this weekend. Hope you’ll come back to check it out, I think you’ll like it.
