Life has become turmoil lately, which is the reason why comments are closed for now.
I thought I’d post an update from my last more substantive post.
We became homeowners again on July 6th. We have been staying in our rental (until July 31) while renovations are being done. Lots of coordinating of workers, picking out and ordering supplies, packing, finding movers, and so on.
Good news is, my own health issues have improved some. I no longer need surgery.
Bad news is, my mother-in-law is not well. She always reads my blog. I wish that some day she’ll read this after she has beaten the odds, but that doesn’t appear likely at this point.
This was unexpected.
This is very difficult, because our home is torn up for renovations. Our rental is packed with boxes and my mother-in-law lives 1,100 miles away.
The entire scope of it all made me have a panic attack. I was hyperventilating and feeling like I was going to vomit, when finally the tears came.
I cried until my face was swollen, my eyes red, my nose blocked.
But, the panic went away. The crying actually helped.
Since then, I’m easily weepy. I’d rather be weepy than panicked.
Needless to say, it will be a while before I’ll be able to get back to a regular schedule of blogging and reading blogs. But, I enjoy it, so I will return when it’s feasible.
My mother-in-law and I love a certain TV show. We joke about how we’re just like the two female characters. Here is a link from that show (one episode) about how crying is cathartic. It makes me laugh in the midst of the grief. ELR S4 EP20
