Circumstances

Everyone is handed adversity in life. No one’s journey is easy. It’s how they handle it that makes people unique. ~ Kevin Conroy

I’ve been blogging for a little over two years, and I love it. When I was told to start a blog to promote myself as an author, I never imagined I’d enjoy it so much.

I’ve met so many wonderful bloggers. I felt like I lost a close friend when some left blogging altogether, or even took a break.

I never thought I’d ever want to take a break, and I still don’t want to take one. Unfortunately, under the circumstances, with my husband’s injury, I’m going to have to do it. My life is a whirlwind right now.

This is going to be a long process with many ups and downs. If I get some down time in between, I hope to visit blogs, but I won’t be able to visit as often.

I may post a wisdom quote or two that I found while I’m going through this process.

If this is the first time you’ve stopped by my blog, check out the recent memoir series I posted, Mystical Tours. Maybe you’ll like it and want to return … when I return. I also have free memoir reads on a drop down menu up on the top of the page under ‘memoirs.’

You guys all stay safe and well. I’ll be back. I hope you’ll come back and see me.

Blessings, Lori

  1. Lori, I am SO SORRY to hear about this! So very sorry. Am wrapping good wishes and prayers around both of you. Have noticed your absence, but have been kinda absent myself, so never registered that something might have happened. MANY blessings.

  2. There are times when real life simply must come first. And dealing with an injury like this is one of them. Please know my thoughts and best wishes for a smooth recovery are with you and your husband.

  4. Dear Lori,

I read about your husband’s injuries – both feet! Sounds horrific but under the circumstances, praise and thank the Lord that it was not worse.

Yes, family comes first – always.

We’re not going anywhere – we’ll wait for you.

    Peace and blessings,
    Eric

  5. Best wishes Lori, I hope things improve for you soon. I do have Rome, Home and Meatballs on my Kindle to read, so I’ll have to get started on that in your absence 🙂

  6. Lori, so understandable that you need a break … will be here, but life throws us at time … and your husband’s recover is what is important.
I will miss your visits … and your comment. Going to miss your thoughts in your great post.
But will be here …. Give life the time it needs. My love to you both.

  7. Blog breaks are necessary–life must always come first. Plus, they allow us some rejuvenation time and make us eager to return when the time is right. Enjoy yours, and I hope your husband’s healing process goes smoothly.

    1. Blogging is my favorite, and mostly the only outlet where I interact on social media. I go to the others much less frequently. Sometimes I think I like blogging even more than writing. But, we have a lot on our plates right now. Thank you for the hopeful wishes, Carrie.
