My little man is not feeling very well. He’s been sick all week. I’m stressed. I hate to see him suffer in any way, even if he just has a bug.
I started to write out a long blog about all his health issues, but why bore you? I deleted it. Needless to say, he’s being treated with meds and we’re keeping an eye on him. If he doesn’t get better by next week, he’ll be back at the vet’s (and we’ll be even more in debt from the bills after the one from today). I already see some improvement in him though, so I think he’ll be fine.
My husband and I had a consult with a specialist today. Both of us need a routine procedure done (the same one, and I won’t bore you with that either). I’m not looking forward to it. Did I say I was stressed?
So, if you feel so inclined, keep a good thought for our little man Max, and hopefully he’ll be bright-eyed and bushy-nubbed (he doesn’t have a tail) very, very soon.
I may be back looking for good wishes when it’s time for our procedures.
Have a great weekend everyone. I hope to put up a wisdom quote tomorrow.
I’m so far behind in my reading. I hope your little man is feeling better by now. Either way, give him some hugs from me and Lucy!

I’m glad to read in the comments that Max is doing better. I’m not sure there’s a more frustrating feeling than not being able to ease a loved one’s pain. Don’t forget that you and your husband take care of yourselves, too.

Thank you for your compassionate response, Ms. JM. Max is getting better by the minute. Our procedures are scheduled for a month away, so I’m not going to think about it until then. Hope your weekend was nice, and have a great week ahead.

Late here to send Max a thoughtful prayer, however, I see he is better will send virtual bones to cheer him up.
I did a total count down on my procedure…looking back, glad it is done; will never have to go through it again because it was clean…first and last in one fell blow… Lol.
I did not have to drink loads of glum; only 8 ounces 2 times.
Cheers.

Sometimes it seems like problems pile up but things will work out. Try not to think of too many negative things at once. One at a time is enough. I know it’s a worry when your pets are sick because they can’t talk and tell you where it hurts, but we do the best we can for them (mortgaging our souls) and hope for the best. All you can do is what you’re already doing, so try not to worry.

Thank you, Lauren. All at once he got a sick stomach, tapeworms and the itchy scabs. Sigh. The meds are working. His stomach seems better and worms dying. Have a great weekend and I’ll see you next week.

Oh, Lori, I hope Max gets better. I do know what you mean about writing blogs and deleting them. Last night I wrote a long blog on a library computer and pushed the “trash” button. We never know what’s destined to appear to the “world”.

I do the delete thing on comments sometimes, too. I’ll type out a long comment in a box, and then realize it sounds like nonsense. Then, I can’t figure out what else to say, so I click ‘like.’ Heh. Thanks for your good wishes for Mr. Max.

It is especially difficult when our furry family members fall ill, because we rely on them so much to bring us joy and lift our spirits. Hope Max is on the road to recovery, and a smile will replace those sad eyes.

Max sure is handsome, Lori! It’s such a drag when pets fall ill, but it sounds like you take very good care of him so hopefully, he’ll soon make a full recovery from whatever it is that’s ailing him. As for you, your husband and this pending procedure, if the word “invasive” is attached, I’ve been down that road many times myself. Thus far, the ride has not been that bumpy. Still, the word “procedure” remains one I loathe. I hope all goes well with whatever you and your husband are having checked out. If it requires quaffing a copious amount of slimy, salty colon cleanse, you have my sympathy.

Hi Miss V. Thanks for your kind words about Max. Yep, I see him improving by the hour. I think he’s going to recover. And, btw, I was trying to avoid the nasty details of that routine procedure, but I figured some might guess it, like you. 😛 Thanks again. Have a great weekend.

Lori, so sorry about Max …. we feel so helpless when it’s about our pets health – and because they can’t tell us what is wrong. Lori, glad you shared your worries with me … he is not a dog – he is a family member. If there has been some improvement with him today – things will be even better tomorrow. I know he will be fine, Lori. Have a pleasant weekend … and I know Max is keeping an eye on you two too.
