Recognition, Appreciation and a New Theme

sunshine-award 3Now that I’m finished with my scheduled blogs, it’s time to show my gratitude. I’m honored to have been remembered by a wonderfully inspirational blogger for the Sunshine Award. Sloan’s words of wisdom are always a joy to read on Taming the Invisible Dragon.

I haven’t had the time to fully dive into the award etiquette procedure as of late. However, I must acknowledge Sloan’s thoughtfulness. I’d also like to mention the wonderful bloggers I’ve had the privilege to get to know. Their blogs are to the right in my column under Brilliant Blogs I Discovered.

Thank you to those who read my blog. You have no idea how much I appreciate your support.

This new theme on my blog is called “misty lake,” aptly named for the misty haze that appears over the text and photos. I’m not crazy about the haze, but I really like the format. I may try it out for a while and then try another, but for now, I just thought I’d let you know that your eyesight isn’t getting hazy. For my readers who are unfamiliar with blogging, everything is the same except the pages to my blog are on tabs at the top. I also changed the header photo. I snapped this one when on vacation in April.

I have some great ideas for blog post in the new year. I hope you’ll continue to join me and bring your friends.

My wish is for everyone to be enjoying the season, and for you all to have a blessed new year. I will leave you with an affirmation for the last day of the year, from the publication Daily Word.

. . . Upon reflection [of the year] I may have seen days of sorrow, or days where [life] fell short, but I also see lessons learned and the strength I developed in overcoming challenges . . . While I cannot change a day that has gone by, I can view each one as a part of the great creative process that is my life . . .

~ The Lord your God will bless you in all your produce and in all your undertakings, and you shall surely celebrate. ~ Deuteronomy 16:15
