A 100th Post Celebration

Not quite eight months ago, I started this blog as a means to market my short story anthology, and ended up getting completely addicted to blogging. I had no idea when I started this endeavor, how much I’d enjoy it, and how many wonderful people I’d meet. It’s a social network all it’s own. I don’t even use those other ones except to post my blog link.

I’ve always loved getting to know new people. As it says on my ‘about‘ page, I’m fascinated by human behavior and what makes us tick. I savor getting to know you all, what made you who you are, and I learn from your life experiences too. I feel like we bloggers have a special meeting place all our own. It’s not a bar, or a clubhouse or even Starbuck’s. As we chat, I can have a cup of tea or a beer, whichever I’m in the mood for. Sometimes I meet you in your living room and other times you meet me at my kitchen table. Right from my humble abode in central Florida (even during a tropical storm) I can chuckle with my lovely blogging sister, Viveka, all the way in Sweden! Or, my very cheerful and spiritual friend Kathy, in the UP, or learn from my words guru, Robin.

And of all things … people actually “get me.” How wonderful to be understood about my meanderings on life, the human psyche, poetry, spirituality, my love of dogs and even my writing endeavors.

So, grab your drink, be it a beer, champagne or just a cup of tea, and let’s toast each other on this celebration of 100 posts. You are all special in your own unique way.

  1. Lori, Congratulations on 100 posts and nearly 10,000 hits. Way to go! I loved reading of your enthusiasm here, and how we meet so many delightful people along the way. It is one of the biggest joys of blogging. It has been wonderful getting to know you, too. Blog on!

  2. Congratulations both on the milestone & love of blogging. It, you and other bloggers have certainly added another dimension to my life. I’ve been away with no internet, and busy with work, and I have missed my blogging time most of all. At the moment the time of day for me is appropriate for a cup of tea but I’ll catch you for a glass wine later 🙂

  3. Congratulations Lori! You are an inspiration and now I just want to blog all night. Unfortunately I can’t, but I shall get cracking tomorrow and treat myself to catching up. All the best 🙂

  4. Lori, I’m going to have a Absolut & tonic. Congratulations … to you first of all and then to me that ended up here and still enjoying it. Looking forward to our sisterhood … and I wish that Florida could move to Denmark. *smile. Keep up what you’re doing, because you do it so well.

    1. Thank you my ever faithful, Viveka. Hey, maybe someday if you make it back to the US, you’ll visit Florida. Just make sure you come in the winter and not in this hot & steamy summer.

  5. Congratulations, Lori! I agree with you, blogging is a much more satisfying way of social networking since we actually get to have conversations and to know one another. I’m off to get the iced (decaf) coffee! Cheers! xoxoM
